Yes, it is posile as pure js, but I have some problem implementing google maps in to a gs script. But I have to say that my js are limited. That's why I quickly hacked this in php. If some one has stronger skills, maybe can help me out?

Is this not possible with pure javascript? It seems like this could be done without having to hit the author's server.
