This would take a lot of work as the Google Menu on the iGoogle page is not a SELECT element (which I used) therefore it is not as easy as simply changing the CSS. I would need to re-write my menu completely in Javascript which would take a while. I might come back to this sometime.

I've now added keyboard shortcuts for alt+? and ctrl+? so you can use either. Hope this is what you wanted!

Hello gang, just to say that your problems are being listened to and I will try to do them all soon. Right now I don't have an apartment to live in so I'm in student digs with no computer in the week. But I'll be back!!

Plus, I upgraded to firefox 3.5 and now the menu isn't aligned properly (just like in Opera) so I'll try really hard to fix this (hopefully for Opera too).

mimicing the style of google's own menus would be the culmination of this userscript :)

Google seems to use "gbi" and "gb1, gb2 ..." css classes for menu items, some experimentation would show the proper tags to use.

To go to the actual igoogle settings, one has to go to account settings and hunt for igoogle's settings link.

but the shortcut choose are the way to switch of tab in ff ...
alt+1,2,3,4 is a better choice for me

Search box still seems to steal the focus. Or at least vimperator jumps into Insert mode when the page gets loaded. Maybe this is hard to debug without vimperator addon.

Hi Lassoken, that's a really good point. Something I definitely need to work on. Just give me some time because I'm only a few weeks away from finishing my degree so I'm super busy.

As for the rounded corners, I doubt I'll implement that (sorry!) because it's not really related to what Super iGoogle is all about. If I do implement that I'll probably post it as a separate script. I'll see how bored I get!

Even if I toggle off header and mini search, search box still grabs the focus when igoogle is loaded. This is really annoying when using vimperator addon of firefox.

Other nice feature would be to remove ugly rounded corners from gadgets.

This is a killer script even without these features.

oh, it's easy, dude. Just install the latest version of this script and hit ctrl+4. It'll remember your show / hide settings, too!

Hmmmm, sorry dude, I've been looking into this and I can't fix it... I don't have a clue why it is doing this, but the problem is less if you hide the mini search box.

I was able to do it by taking out some code, which I'm sure wasn't healthy, but I'd like an option to completely remove the Google search box since all the browsers I use have one built-in.

Ahh! Yes I noticed that a while ago, actually. I was hoping it wasn't like that for everyone... I briefly tried to fix it before but didn't succeed. I'll try harder when I have the time; I'm afraid I'm really busy with my degree dissertation atm. Thanks for pointing it out, though!

Ctrl+1 to toggle header, Ctrl+2 to toggle sidebar. Let me know if those shortcuts are cool. Or you can change them yourself in the source code (it's really easy, check out the initKeyboardShortcuts function)
