About Simeon's review: from my point of view, your review is seriously flawed... how can you say it is "fantastic" and rate it with 1 star? :-)

Also, are you sure you're reviewing the correct script? Because there's no such pop-up saying that you must restart Firefox for it to work!

And oddly enough, I designed the script to use multiple accounts (anyone can see the source and check it out, all data depends on the "user" variable). I just tested two IMDB accounts, and both worked fine, on two computers (all I had to do was to normally logout and then login on IMDB as another user). I also never received reports of problems with that before.

From the comments sections, you might see that I try to tackle problems people have when they leave a comment... so, if you want some help with this problem, let me know: leave a comment describing all details you can (IMDB user names with this problem, browser version, GM version, script version, OS version, your system's language, other scripts you're using, errors that appear on the error console, and anything else that you can think of that could be useful).

Update: I finally installed Firefox 3 and noticed that now cookies are not sent with GM_xmlhttpRequest by default. The latest version of this script (2008.08.27) fix this problem.

firefoxftw, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I finally fixed this problem (I hope), and as a bonus, now on a movie page the title is highlighted if it's on your list. Please reinstall, and enjoy!

I'm still getting the bug that horizonstar mention (a). If I add a movie to mymovies and then remove the movie, it doesn't remove the green highlight. I hope this bug gets fix because I really like this script.

Hi horizonstar!

Ouch! I didn't see that bug coming... I just fixed this and also added support for the Vote History list, too.

Thank you very much for your feedback!

Hi ric,

I've modified your script so that

(a) it doesn't keep growing the user's Firefox Config value every time the list is updated because it looks for the presence of a movie in the list before adding it, and

(b) it also captures the user's Vote History.

Please let me know how I can send my modifications to you so you can include them in your public script.

"the word "details" will be in green if the movie is in your list."

Aha! Thanks, that's clever. Cheers!

Hi Cantos! Thanks for the feedback. I might implement your idea on the next version... until them, you can look at the "IMDB pro details" link, right below the title - the word "details" will be in green if the movie is in your list.

Congratulations for this great script! It would be wonderful if you could add one or two code lines for highlighting not only the LINKS in a listing page, but also the TITLE in the main title page. For instance, highlight the word "Nostalghia" on http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086022/ --- in this way I will know this film is on "My Movies" list when I come to this page. I presume it's pretty simple to modify your code to do that, but I'm not skilled enough to do it myself. Thanks!
