I did? Neat :) But I will soon revert to searching using the Wikia API, now that it has been reenabled, which should eliminate other similar problems which I am sure still persist.

I will try to look into this soon. The current approach of fetching the wiki pages directly is rather frail, and special characters (like ?) may not work.

I love the userscript, but I have now run into a new problem. Look at the link below.

Can you explain why this is happening? The lyrics are in the wiki, but the script can't find it or something.

Unless I'm missing something, this is an odd bug in LyricWiki's API. The script simply requests and processes this XML document.

I went to the page:

And it says not found, but when I press search, I'm taken to:

Tried CTRL-F5ing too, no dice.

Maybe it would be helpful to provide a link to "search for title" page if lyrics cannot be found? So that we can easily go and create a page and add lyrics to lyricwiki.org?

For example, this song doesn't have lyrics

http://www.last.fm/music/EKV/_/Ti+Si+Sav+Moj+Bol

and there's nothing displayed in the box. I'd like to see a link to:

http://lyricwiki.org/Special:Search/EKV:Ti_Si_S...

so that I can add lyrics myself if I feel like it.

this just doesn't work for me. i wasn't aware there was another version of the same thing until i did some googling to try to find out why. reeloo's version here http://userscripts.org/scripts/review/36102 works both in my xp firefox and ubuntu firefox.

In FF 2.0.0.17 (Iceweasel actually, but it shouldn't matter, should it?) I see "document.getElementsByClassName is not a function" in the JS errors console. And https://developer.mozilla.org/en/DOM/document.g... suggests that it is indeed a new feature.

Alala, no problem. You need to install the Greasemonkey add-on for Firefox. This script is used in the browser, remember, not in the Last.fm app itself. So you have installed Greasemonkey, then go to this page and click install script (remember Greasemonkey must be turned on in the bottom right corner of your Firefox screen - he must be smiling) and after you have installed the script, make sure you haven't blocked javascript on Last.fm (default is you haven't). Simply reload the Last.fm page on which the script has to be working (in this case any track page whereof the lyrics is available), and then you'll see that the script is working. Easy peasy : )

Ahem...
Please be patient.. I'm new.. and, well, I don't know how to install it or make it work.. I have two questions:
1. I managed to open the ".js" with last fm, but from then on, I'm lost. I restarted the software but nothing new appears there...
2.Do you think it would be possible to put some instructions here on how to install it?? you know, for the newbies??

I noticed this major flaw in last.fm (I assumed some sort of LyricWiki-type thing was already there) and wondered if google could find an answer.
A few clicks later, problem solved, very well and cleanly, too. Good work.
