@Uters:
It would be a reasonable change to make the links separate out automatically on a page load. I will consider this in the next update as a user variable. In the meantime, if you take a look at the source there are some user-defined variable that you can use to change the hover behavior of the links. You could use these to remove the indentation animation. I think it's cool though.

As far as the flashing goes, this is an unfortunate result of long links becoming spread over multiple lines when linkified. When the link gets spread out, sometimes it takes itself out from under the mouse cursor and automatically triggers a mouseout event. I can't think of a way to prevent this, as it's dependent on a lot of factors, such as your window size, font size, etc. I've definitely noticed it, but have chosen to ignore it for the most part.

I like this idea but I don't like the way the link changes when you hover over it. Any chance you could make a version that just shows the way it looks when you hover all the time? Or maybe just have different colors for each part of the linkified url instead of changing? I was also hoping this script would remove google from the url in the main link (i.e., the *google*&url= junk) and just link straight to the site. I really can't stand how google shows a direct link in the status bar when you hover over it but when you click on the link it redirects through google...I'd like it to go to the link it shows.

I also noticed on long links if I hover the mouse over the right side of the green URL, it just flashes constantly, and I have to move the cursor off the link then on the left side of the link to prevent the flashing.

Oh and sorry for the doublepost, you didn't include other regions of google in your script. Like google.ca

well yeah, clicking "politics" takes you to politics.slashdot.org/
clicking slashdot.org, takes you to www.slashdot.org/

It's your choice, but I'm sure that's a useful feature.

bl_nk: Thanks. Could you clarify your suggestion little for me? Do you mean for a page like politics.slashdot.org to linkify to something like "politics.slashdot.org/ www.slashdot.org/ ...etc/"? I guess it could be possible, but I foresee a lot of problems that might make it not worth the effort.

Awesome script, been wanting similar functionality for some time. I wish it could also separate for example page.domain.com
