Didn't work for me. I use these lines instead
if(ad=document.getElementById('bbccom_leaderboard')) ad.style.display='none'; if(ad=document.getElementById('bbccom_skyscraper')) ad.style.display='none'; if(ad=document.getElementById('bbccom_bottom')) ad.style.display='none';

The script works but there is a big gap at the top of the page which closes up visibly while loading. I doubt this is avoidable and otherwise this works quite well.
