Yes, because Google hides the information so the script can't get the actual unread count for individual feed if > 1000.

I have some feeds which receive huge numbers of updates (e.g. BBC News UK Edition and Yahoo! Top Stories). These feeds typically show as (1000+).

This script only works for the groups of feeds not the individual groups. So my "master" number for the whole of my feed collection is still highly unreliable just less vague than before I installed this :)

Could you please replace the .com TLD by the generic one which works for all TLDs?

I know we can add it ourselves in the 'Manage User Scripts' window, and indeed I do it every time I install a new version of the script, but it would be nice for it to be done automatically.

This would be the last step on the way to perfection :)

Like Wayne1337, I used and loved this script for a long time. It appears to be broken now. Google must have updated or changed something.

Any way to make this work on the main count within the reader page, not off to the left?

This script does work and does provide info that Google Reader does not. To activate it, see the icon next to "All items". Just click on it.
