Doesn't work anymore, replied by Christopher8827

The script doesn't seem to work anymore in .com (international server). I think they implemented measures to stop this script from working because I tried the Crop Finder and it didn't find the cropper beside me.

http://www.cs-network.dk

instead of:

The server will still be down in the mentioned period however. But when it's up and running again, you can enter the site from the cs-network.dk URL.

will change location at the end of this week and therefore get a new ip-address and hopefully also a domain name (it's down from approximately thursday night until sunday or monday).

Hi!

The map scrolling seems to be wrong for me. The small and big scroll-arrows move the map by 7 and 8 fields, instead of 1 and 7. I reviewed the source and I found, why this is:
In the
function mapDoubleScroll()
there is a row

nPos += colAdds[i % 4] * (Math.floor(i / 4) + 6);

There should be multiple by 6 instead of adding:

nPos += colAdds[i % 4] * (Math.floor(i / 4) * 6);

And the srcolling will working fine.

This is awesome. Firstly i saw this script description which says: "Script shows villages, that have....", so i thought that this script look for villages which are build on 9 and 15 croper fields. But when i tried it out i noticed that it looks for every square in 7x7 map. That was a great new for me and i wanted to thank this script author because he saved my time ;] I have just a few things to tell him. 1. You should edit your description because it's quite inaccurate. And the 2nd thing i wanted to tell all the users which are using this script that it doesn't work with Travian Beyond. I tried it out and when i was using both Travian Beyond and this script, it has just crashed, so before looking for cropers, turn your Travian Beyond off ;] That's all i wanted to say.

@ QP:
To use GM_set and GM_get could cause problems here, if someone try to save a mass of datas. It will work for few information, but if it reach the critical point, your browser will be extremely slowly.

This is because of that greasemonkey saves this values into the config file of firefox. If you start your brower, open a new window or popup or close your browser, it will take a long time.

I had tested it with one of my scripts to get all the information about the hole map. I tested the script with some bigger parts of the map and after a mass of saved data, I realized that this does not work in this way.

I also tried the "supercookie" (globalStorage, localStorage), which saves data in a mysql-file, but this does not work in greasemonkey-scripts..

As a result, GM_set and GM_get is only useful for few data. If you need more, you have to use other alternatives.

In the case of this script, it is difficult to decide, because it relates to the user's behaviour. If they only want to check few areas, it will work, but it's also not the problem to check them again, if it is needed. If they want to check "few" areas frequently, it will make sense, if the data will be saved. But if they want to check a lot of areas, it could create problems if the number reached a certain size.

It relates all to the mass of information, the certain script saves.

i second the idea of storing data of already searched pages locally... it would lighten the load on the servers and perhaprs more importantly it woul d make the script much less annoying to the companies running travain.. so they wouldnt have an incentive to chace those that use it.,

btw...would it be possible to have this appear on the larger map provided by the "travian plus" ?

Script is working fine now, nice script :)

I would like to suggest 2 features:

1 -
Saving the map already searched with GM_set and then only getting the info from the server if it is not already saved (otherwise get it from GM_get).

There would need to be a way to delete all info (for server re-start).

Also, if as a key for saving you use the server name, you can share that info between players. Imagine you're sitting for a friend, all the info you saw with 1 player is seen by the other.

This would dramatically decrease server calls.

2 - On already searched squares (maybe even during the search) add the crop icon with the number over it (either 9 or 15). Hey you could even, on 6 croppers, put the 5 over the resource that exists the most on that square, or a 6 on top of the crop for the ones that are 4-4-4-6.

Just in case this helps, the 6 existing village types are:
3W_3C_3I_9C	// f1
3W_4C_5I_6C	// f2
4W_4C_4I_6C	// f3
4W_5C_3I_6C	// f4
5W_3C_4I_6C	// f5
1W_1C_1I_15C	// f6

Script changed, third version. I registered on s6.travian.cz, and it really did not work. I changed it, so it now work also there. Finally I also changed that regExp as PJhimself mentioned /thanks/. If you think that script is not working, turn off other grease monkey scripts, some users had problems when using for instance BEYOND script. I also recommend to turn on this script only when you are really searching multicrops, so I believe you will not miss other script for that moment. I also recommend scrolling on the map by those green arrows on the edge of map, script changes its function so it scrolls by 7 places. Bye
