I've been using this script for more than a year on my PC at work, but I've never been able to get it to work on my Mac in Firefox. Either it doesn't actually send the tweet, or it hangs when trying to make the URL tiny. Sad, I love this script, but I can't get it to work on my Mac. I don't use Google Gears.

Actually, I've just uncovered what's causing the issue! It seems that Google Gears prevents this script from displaying. When I disable Google Gears, the script displays the Twitter Button and works just fine.

I don't see the "Share with Twitter Button" in Google Reader using FF 3.5.1 in Windows Vista. Anyone else?

I was having the same problem. Turns out it was Google Gears that was blocking the Twitter button on GReader. To fix this, I selected Tools~Gears Settings and then removed all references to www.google.com. After a Firefox restart it worked like a charm.

Using:
Firefox 3.0.8
GM 0.8.20090123.1

This script doesn't work for me -- I have GM 0.8.20090123.1 installed, but doesn't work in gReader. ANyone else figured out how to fix this?

@examancer Please tell us how to change the URL-shortener to tr.im or something, because the status-messages change I think, I didn't get it working by only changing the URLs in the script.

By the way: is it possible to delete the "Tag"- and "Title"-Table? These are not that neccecary, they only cost characters. I think "Notes" and "URL" are enough.

Perhabs more complete comments in the scripts help less geeky people to trim *g* their personal script.

This was really easy to modify to use is.gd for short URLs instead of tinyurl, so I'm sure it can be edited for snurl easily as well.

Would it be posible for you to add snurl/snipurl/snipr as a option to use besides tinyurl. i like to track my links which tiny has no option to.

Yes, an apparent update to Google Reader (Notes?) has disabled this script. I sent terababy (the creator) a twitter message about this. Hopefully he can update the script for us, especially since it is one of my favorite scripts (I use Google Reader and Twitter extensively).

This script doesn't work as of today's Google Reader updates--the script simply appears as usual at the bottom of the story, but, nothing happens when you click on it. Please update this great utility!

thanks terababy!this is a great script. i am using it like anything. it has helped me to start twittering about my hometown "Pune". which gives me lot of joy and satisfaction. but sometimes, i don't know why, it stops working but resumes after a short period of time. since i don't understand anything about the scripting i get nervous but i have full confidence in you all magicians. thanks a lot once again.
